Tarang Shah is a venture capital professional. At SoftBank Capital, a venture capital fund, he helped with investments in mobile, digital media and enterprise software startups totaling $50 million. He has reviewed 1000+ startups and served as a board member and CEO advisor for dozen plus startups. Tarang is currently a technology innovation executive and mobile payment/commerce expert for one of the largest financial institutions in the US, where he has built and leads a startup risk assessment practice based on his venture model. Tarang was a co-founder of a VC consulting firm Ariants, lead product manager for Ericsson’s first 3G product line of $300 million in R&D, business responsible for Ericsson’s CDMA450 product line, and a marketing manager for Qualcomm’s CDMA technology. He passed CFA Level II in 2005 and holds MBA from Thunderbird, MBA and BSEE from Gujarat University (India). He has developed a venture model, Startup Analysis Model (SAM) for assessing success potential of the startups.
